Easter Saturday

Every year our friends Kirsti and Steve have an Easter Brunch and Hunt Celebration. We have gone for the past couple of years and have really enjoyed every minute of it. The adults look forward to Kirsti's famous Texas Toast and all the amazing food and the kids look forward to the awesome easter egg hunt. This year the food was as amazing as ever and Kirsti outdid herself and made these adorable bunny bum cupcakes. She is quite talented in the cooking/baking department. I could use a few lessons from her. Last year we had the easter egg hunt right in their beautiful front yard and it was awesome. This year we headed over to her neighbors house and did it in their backyard. The backyard was like a kids wooded paradise. There are all these little paths with a little creek running right in the middle and plenty of greenery and flowers. There were so many eggs out there. The older kids had the hard to find eggs to hunt while the little kids got to get the easy colorful eggs. There were two golden eggs hidden this year and Andrew found one of them. He was so proud to show off his cool looking egg. Even Abby enjoyed playing with and sucking on a plastic egg. I am so grateful to our wonderful friends who put on a great Easter Saturday. I will surely miss them when they move this summer.
