The SUN finally came out today to grace us with her presence. We were more than thrilled to go to the park to not only play on the playground but to draw with chalk on the dry ground and blow bubbles. The kids have been asking me for over a month if we could blow bubbles. A quick trip to Target and a sunny day allowed us at least an hour of fun outside before the sun set. Luckily we live near the park and some of our great friends. It is always more fun to share chalk and bubbles with friends. Abby was especially excited to try bubbles for the first time as a toddler. She didn't really understand bubbles last year. Abby loved to run and catch the bubbles that Emma blew until she realized how much fun it was to hold the bottle all on her own and try and blow them herself. The kids were happy doing bubbles, drawing with chalk, running around the basketball court, swinging, and sliding. I think it's safe to say we were all so happy to feel a little sun on our faces today. What a surprise it was to have Mike come meet us at the park too. Both of the girls were so excited that they ran right up to him and wanted hugs and kisses. Daddy's are so good for that! I'm sure Mike was happy to see a little sun as well. He rarely gets to see the light these days! I hope it won't be too long until we see the sun again!
