Abby loves trains. Yes that's right. My little GIRL loves trains. We have a big basket of brio trains and tracks downstairs in the family room. Those are pretty much the only toys that are downstairs. We were first introduced to Brio trains when Andrew was just a baby. Aunt Kim and Grandma Candace were so good at collecting tons of brio trains and tracks. It became kind of a family tradition to have those classic trains for the kids. Grandma Candace would be so proud to see that the kids are still enjoying the brio trains.
Ever since I started singing Abby our train song she has really taken to the trains. Abby is happiest when I help her build a big giant circle track so that she can sit right in the middle of it. She is so fun to watch as she pushes the trains through the tunnel and tries to put the the other cars and animals in the passenger trains. On this particular day she was wearing a dress with a pocket and once she discovered her pocket she spent a good deal of time putting the trains and animals in there. Then she would line them up along the window sill and push them along. I love the wonder of the simple toys!!
The Train Song (introduced to us by Grandma Ann)
Choo Choo the big train is coming down the track
Choo Choo the big train is coming down the track
Stop, Look, and Listen
Stop, Look, and Listen
Choo Choo the big train is coming down the track
Choo Choo the big train is coming down the track
Stop, Look, and Listen
Stop, Look, and Listen
Hoo Hoo (the sound of the whistle blowing)
