Sankein Gardens

With the cherry blossoms in full bloom we definitely didn't want to miss being able to enjoy them somewhere beautiful.  We wanted to go up to Ueno Park in Tokyo to see them but instead opted to stay closer to home and go to one of our favorite gardens up in Yokohama.  There were quite a few people at Sankein gardens but not enough to feel like we couldn't enjoy our time there.  The cherry blossoms looked absolutely beautiful lined along the lake and in and through the paths around the lake.  The kids had fun standing underneath the trees as the wind blew and the blossoms fell like snowflakes on their faces.  They loved walking over the bridges and looking at the many carp swimming in the water.  We all loved the beautiful weather and the peace we felt at the park.  It was a magnificent day to spend enjoying the cherry blossoms while they were still out in bloom.  We are so lucky to be in such a beautiful area.  Who would have thought a couple of years ago that we would actually be in Japan enjoying cherry blossom season?  Definitely not me.  I am so blessed.
