Our little girl finally arrived and we are so blessed with another healthy and sweet baby! She reminds us of our Peter--sweet and mild tempered! We are enjoying every minute with her and are amazed at how much all three of our children love and adore her. Here are some sneak peaks of Abigail with her new family!

Getting Pampered

Today was the day to getting every last minute thing done to feel pretty before the baby arrives. I had my hair cut and colored and then took Emma with me to get our toes painted. Mike got home early from work and decided to take the boys canoeing. A good friend had suggested going with our little girls to get our toes painted of which I would still like to do with her at a future date. Thank you for the idea dear friend! Emma just had the best time sitting in the chair and talking to the friendly ladies. Of course she picked out a lovely pink color for her toes. I was surprised at how much she enjoyed being pampered and how well she sat in the chair. The lady even put some fun flower stickers on her big toes. That was a big hit! It was fun to be able to spend some girl bonding time together. I love you sweet Emma! Thank you for filling my world with fun girly moments!

Big Brother

As my kids get older I am amazed at how much they truly love each other. Even though they have their moments of fighting and crying, they really just want to be together. Tonight was just one of those nights that couldn't be overlooked. We had a pretty full day and was able to enjoy our afternoon with Dad building another but smaller planter box. The kids planted watermelon and cucumber seeds and then we all ate a simple sandwich dinner on our front porch while enjoying the afternoon sun. The kids played for a while and then it was inside to get clean. Since school is finally out I have tried to let the kids play just a little bit longer at night with each other. The highlight of my night was watching Peter and Emma playing. First they got out the baby cradle and put the baby to bed. The most hilarious thing about it was that Peter was the one instigating the whole thing. It was like he was teaching Emma how to take care of her baby. It was so cute to watch them rock the cradle and sing her to sleep. Then they decided the baby needed to be up because it was miraciously morning time. They strolled the baby into the boys room and decided to work on a puzzle together. Peter was so nice to help Emma put the pieces together. I just couldn't help but be grateful for the wonderful children that I have. They are priceless gems and I feel so lucky to be able to enjoy one more addition soon. It is these moments that I feel like the luckiest mom in the world. It is these moments that I need to remember when things don't go perfectly. These are the moments we live for!

Preschool Graduation

YEAH for the end of the school year! Peter had such a great time attending the Christ Lutheran Preschool this year. He made many friends and learned so many wonderful things. He learned how to listen to someone that isn't mom or dad, write his letters, numbers, and name, learned to sign all the letters in the alphabet as well as many animals, had fun being creative with his art projects, learned good Christian values, learned manners and sharing, and learned to read with mom at home. He is definitely ready for Kindergarten in the Fall. It was really fun to watch their little graduation ceremony. They had the pomp and circumstance music playing as they entered the gym and each child received little diplomas as their names were called. It was a fun way to let them know how much they accomplished this year. We are so proud of you Peter!
